
SHORT BIO
​Originally from Athens, Greece, Alex is a London-based writer and director. His debut feature film, CAFÉ 404, starring Dimitri Gripari (Dangerous Liaisons) and Vasilis Koukalani (Tehran, Kabul), had its world premiere in competition at the 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival. The film has since been selected by major festivals across the globe, with official screenings in Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto, establishing Alex as an emerging voice in international cinema.

He is currently in development on his second feature film, The Passed Pawn, with Dark Alley Pictures (The Forgotten Battle). The film is based on his BAFTA and BIFA qualifying short THE T3ST, funded by the GFC, ERT, the NFTS - starring Matthew Stagg (Marrowbone, Macbeth) and Killian Coyle (Normal People, Call the Midwife).

Alex is also developing two TV series: Ben and The End, a dark comedy about Charon, the mythical Greek ferryman, trying to keep suicidal Ben alive— Executive produced by David Barron (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)—and Antiparos, a whodunit murder mystery series produced by Tanweer (So Long Marianne), selected for Series Mania 2025.

He made his TV comedy debut with LUV’S STORY, starring Niki Vakali (Worlds Apart), and directed The Cellist, a commercial for McDonald’s (Porsche Awards, 2022) and has been mentored by Fred Fuchs (The Godfather Part III, Dracula) and is the recipient of the 1st National Prize of the Nespresso Talents at the Cannes Film Festival.​​
